Privacy Policy

HIIT30 World ("HIIT30", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use hiit30world.com, RSVP for or buy tickets to our events, subscribe to our newsletter or contact us, and how we use and protect it. We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA").

1. Information we collect

  • Event RSVPs: your full name, email address, phone number (optional) and the city of the event you are attending.
  • Ticket purchases: your name, email address and the number of tickets purchased. Card payments are processed by our payment provider, Yoco. We do not see or store your full card details.
  • Newsletter: your email address.
  • Contact form: your name, surname, phone number, email address and the message you send us.
  • Check-in: when your event QR code is scanned, we confirm your RSVP or ticket against our records.
  • Website usage: anonymous, aggregated information such as pages visited, device and browser type, country and page performance, collected through Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights. These tools do not use advertising cookies or identify you personally.
  • Photos and video: our events are photographed and filmed (see section 9 of the Terms & Conditions below).

2. How we use your information

  • To confirm your RSVP or ticket, and send you your confirmation and QR code.
  • To check you in at our events and manage attendance and safety.
  • To process payments and handle refunds or queries about your order.
  • To send you event updates and news, if you subscribed to our newsletter.
  • To respond to messages you send us.
  • To understand how our website is used and improve it.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We rely on your consent (for example, when you subscribe to our newsletter), on the need to fulfil our agreement with you (for example, your RSVP or ticket), on our legitimate interest in running and improving our events and website, and on legal obligations.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run HIIT30, and only as far as they need it:

  • Yoco – card payment processing.
  • Mailchimp – newsletter delivery.
  • Resend – confirmation, QR code and contact form emails.
  • Vercel – website hosting, analytics and performance monitoring.
  • Our database and content providers – secure storage of RSVPs, tickets and website content.

We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the safety of our attendees, staff and partners.

4. International transfers

Some of our service providers store or process information outside South Africa (for example, in the United States or European Union). Where this happens, we use providers that are subject to laws, binding agreements or policies that give your information a level of protection substantially similar to POPIA.

5. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above. Event and ticket records are kept for as long as needed to run the event and meet our accounting and tax obligations. Newsletter subscribers stay on our list until they unsubscribe. Contact form messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with your query.

6. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and restricted access to our systems. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to:

  • ask whether we hold personal information about you and request a copy of it;
  • ask us to correct or delete information that is inaccurate, out of date or no longer needed;
  • object to us processing your information, including for direct marketing;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent;
  • lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa (inforegulator.org.za).

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link in any of our emails. For any other request, email us at info@hiit30world.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

8. Children

Our website and events are aimed at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us their information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.

Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to your use of hiit30world.com and to your participation in any HIIT30 World event. By using our website, RSVPing, buying a ticket or attending an event, you agree to these terms.

1. Use of the website

You may use this website for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to misuse it, interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or submit false information through its forms. We may update, suspend or withdraw any part of the website without notice.

2. RSVPs and free events

RSVPs for free events are subject to availability and may close once capacity is reached. One RSVP is allowed per email address. An RSVP does not guarantee entry if the venue reaches capacity, if you arrive after the published arrival time, or if entry is refused under section 6 below.

3. Tickets and payments

Ticket prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR) and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed securely by Yoco. Your ticket is confirmed once payment succeeds and you receive a confirmation email with your QR code.

4. Refunds and cancellations

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable unless stated otherwise at the time of purchase, except where required by the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. If we cancel an event, you will be offered a full refund of the ticket price. If an event is postponed or moved, your ticket will remain valid for the new date or venue; if you cannot attend, contact us at info@hiit30world.com within 7 days of the announcement to request a refund.

5. QR codes and check-in

Your QR code is unique to you. Do not share, copy or resell it. Each QR code may be used once, and we may refuse entry to anyone presenting a duplicated or altered code. Please arrive by the published arrival time and bring your QR code and, if asked, a form of identification.

6. Health, safety and conduct

  • Our events involve high-intensity physical activity. You confirm that you are in suitable physical health to take part, and we recommend consulting a medical professional before taking part if you have any medical condition, injury or are pregnant.
  • You take part at your own pace and may stop at any time. Please follow the instructions of our trainers and staff.
  • We may refuse entry to, or remove, anyone who behaves in an unsafe, abusive or disruptive way, or who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, without a refund.
  • Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

7. Assumption of risk and liability

You take part in HIIT30 events voluntarily and at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, HIIT30 World, its organisers, trainers, partners and venues are not liable for any injury, illness, loss or damage to you or your property arising from your participation, except where caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Event changes

We may change the programme, trainers, timing or venue of an event, or cancel an event, for reasons including weather, safety or circumstances beyond our control. We will notify attendees by email or on our website and social media.

9. Photography and filming

Our events are photographed and filmed. By attending, you agree that HIIT30 World may use images and footage in which you appear on our website, social media and promotional material, without payment. If you would prefer not to be featured, please let our team know at the event or email us at info@hiit30world.com and we will make reasonable efforts to remove content in which you are clearly identifiable.

10. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including the HIIT30 name, logo, text, images and video, is owned by or licensed to HIIT30 World. You may not copy, reproduce or use it for commercial purposes without our written permission.

11. Third-party links

Our website links to third-party sites such as Instagram, TikTok and our payment provider. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your RSVP, purchase or attendance applies.
